Victory at the 3 Nationscup in Solingen

With Markus Schulte-Lünzum there was a hard fight, which I could decide in my favour in the steepest ascent.

On the day before the race I decided to race my hardtail KTM Myroon. After a few laps on the track I had the technical passages under control and felt good.

Sunday at 11 o'clock it started and it was great to start the race in the first row. I got away well and rode in good position into the first downhill.

Pretty quickly a group with Tim Dijke, Markus Schulte-Lünzum and me formed, and Tim changed the rhythm all the time.

In the middle of the race I decided to attack. Markus could follow me and we left Tim behind.

Then I felt it was a fair race. We didn't harmonize badly, but everyone tried to use his chances. By challenging the other rider in technical parts, for example, or by briefly testing the other rider.

In the last steep ascent I let my engine turn up fully and I was able to set myself apart from Markus, held the lead to the finish line and won the Race.

This victory now gives me confidence in the team, my bike and also in myself.
