Le week-end dernier, j'ai participé à la course des 3 Nationscup à Houffalize. C'était nostalgique de retrouver une descente de la Coupe du Monde.
Je n'ai pas eu mon meilleur départ, environ à la huitième place.
Une fois arrivé dans la première descente, j'ai été poussé sur la droite dans un tronc d'arbre et j'ai perdu à nouveau quelques places.
J'ai commencé à rattraper mon retard relativement rapidement. La chaleur était vraiment intense et le parcours assez technique.
J'ai dépassé jusqu'à sentir gentiment l'odeur du podium, je me suis bien concentré jusqu'à la fin sur les descentes, je ne me suis pas asphyxié
dans les montées pour terminer sans difficultés à la troisième place.
J'étais très heureux pour mon équipe KTM-Bike Vision et aussi pour aller prendre une bonne douche froide !
Full speed in Hot conditions
On the weekend I rode a race of the 3 Nations Cup in Houffalize with some nostalgia and finished third.
The nostalgia came because I already competed X times in the World Cup in Houffalize and one downhill was exactly the same.
For once I didn't have my best start. About eighth I got into the first downhill and in this one someone rammed me from the right into a tree trunk. With this action I continued to lose places.
I had to accept this situation and started to catch up. Relatively quickly I overtook rider after rider and slowly started to smell the podium. The heat and the technical course didn't make it easy.
I concentrated until the end on the descents and on the ascents I didn't let anything burn. On the second last lap I was third and finished safely.
I was happy that everything went well with the KTM-Bike Vision Team and also about my cold shower!
Voll Gas in Hitze
Am Wochenende fuhr ich mit etwas Nostalgie in Houffalize ein Rennen des 3 Nationscup und wurde dritter.
Die Nostalgie kam daher, weil ich schon X-mal in Houffalize den Weltcup bestritten habe und eine Abfahrt war noch genau die gleiche.
Für einmal hatte ich nicht meinen besten Start. Etwa als achter kam ich in die erste Abfahrt und in dieser rammte mich jemanden von rechts in einen Baumstamm. Mit dieser Aktion verlor ich weiterhin Plätze.
Diese Ausgangslage musste ich akzeptieren und begann meine Aufholjagt. Relativ schnell überholte ich Fahrer um Fahrer und begann langsam das Podest zu riechen. Die Hitze und der technische Parcours machten es nicht gerade leicht.
Ich konzentrierte mich bis zum Schluss in den Abfahrten und in den Aufstiegen liess ich es nichts anbrennen. In der zweitletzten Runde war ich dann dritter und fuhr diesen Rang sicher ins Ziel.
Ich freute mich, dass alles gut mit dem KTM-Bike Vision Team geklappt hat und auch über meine kalte Dusche!
